  1. The controller of personal data of participants in Startup Festival Wrocław (hereinafter: the "Festival") is InfoCenter, based in Wrocław:

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing

Personal data is processed in accordance with:

  • GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016,
  • the Polish Data Protection Act,
  • and other applicable Polish and EU laws on personal data protection.

3. Scope of Collected Personal Data

3.1. Data Provided During Registration

When registering for the Festival, participants may be asked to provide the following details:

  1. first name,
  2. last name,
  3. e-mail address,
  4. job title,
  5. company or organization name,
  6. optionally: LinkedIn profile URL.

Providing the data listed in points 1–4 is required to participate in the Festival.
Failure to provide them will make registration impossible.

3.2. Data Collected Automatically

When visiting the Festival website, the following information may be automatically collected:
IP address, browser type, operating system, visit duration, referral source, and analytical data (e.g. from Google Analytics 4).


4. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

4.1. Participation in the Festival

Purpose: Registration management and enabling participation.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) or Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Scope: Data listed in Section 3.1.

4.2. Establishment or Defense of Claims

Purpose: To establish, exercise, or defend against legal claims related to participation in the Festival.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of the Controller).

4.3. Marketing Communication / Newsletter

Purpose: To send information about future events and activities organized by the Controller.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent given voluntarily, e.g. via checkbox).

4.4. Event Documentation (Photos/Videos)

Purpose: To document the Festival and use materials for marketing and promotional purposes.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent – if granted).


5. Rights of Data Subjects

Participants have the following rights:

  • Access – to their personal data and to obtain a copy of it.
  • Rectification – to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure – to request deletion of personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction – to limit the processing of data.
  • Data portability – to receive and transfer data processed on the basis of consent or contract.
  • Objection – to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
  • Withdrawal of consent – at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

7. Data Retention Period

7.1. Data Related to Participation

Data will be stored for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose outlined in Section 4.1, and then for the time required by law (e.g., limitation periods for claims).

7.2. Data Processed Based on Consent

Data processed based on consent will be stored until consent is withdrawn or an effective objection is raised, depending on the legal basis for processing.


8. Data Recipients

8.1. Processors

The Controller may entrust data processing to trusted service providers necessary for the Festival’s operation, including:

8.2. Other Recipients

The Controller does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or to international organizations unless explicitly stated in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

No automated decision-making, including profiling as referred to in Article 22 GDPR, is carried out based on personal data.
